Two of SFX Basics Workshops at Makeup and Glow.
Due to popular demand there are more SFX Basics Workshops
being held by Makeup and Glow and trained by Darin Rose.
The workshops are
being held at the brand new store for Makeup and Glow in Brisbane and
are bound
to be fun, fun, fun.
If you are interested in learning some fabulous techniques

project is a national competition inviting anyone with a great
idea for an hour long drama to submit a 180 second pilot and an
accompanying
treatment. This is then judged by an expert panel of industry
specialists and a
winner is selected, to ultimately be produced, and aired on MTV in
Australia
and hosted online and on mobile.
Darin was invited to be Key Hair, Makeup and SFX Artist by “Get
Reel
Films” and along with a small but talented cast and crew they
have created and
submitted their pilot/teaser titled “Reap”.

to the amazing popularity of the mini makeovers at the
“Miss Savage” Boutique grand opening, Darin has been
invited to be the resident
Makeup Artist at the stores new “Lash Lounge”.
The “Lash Lounge” is located at the rear of the boutique at

Logan Rd, Stones Corner Brisbane and is a private, modern and luxurious
studio.

48 hour film project is now officially closed and the
team Darin worked with, “Get Reel Films” has created a cool
little short film. The genre chosen randomly was
‘Suspense/Thriller’.

> The Executive Producer of the AU Feature Film “Tin
God” asked
Darin to assist in creating a new opening scene for the film, the shoot
has now
been completed and Darin has come up with a chilling scene involving
some
fabulous SFX makeup, stay tuned for more information.
> The
Brisbane 48 hour film competition is here! Only 48 hours to produce and
edit a fully completed film within a genre randomly chosen at the
last minute. The film must also include 3 things which are not revealed
until the genre has been chosen - a prop, a line and a charactor.
Darin has
joined forces with an amazing cast and crew of talented and experienced
Industry players to compete in this fabulous race against time.

Halloween is the busiest time of the year for Darin and this
year has proven the same.
Heaps of enquiries have come in and now Darin is completely

travelled to Sydney for the final edit and according to the Producer

wrapped and is packed with fabulous SFX work from Darin Rose including
a lot of
gory kills and a massive ghostly Samoan creature with full body
tattooing.
